They're a children's toy from my homeland, come to life. We call them pinecone pigs - a pinecone with four sticks glued to it, though it's far more wiggly than you'd expect a pinecone to be. And affectionate, I get a lot of pinecone kisses? Or headbutts.
Well. As I've said before and will likely have to say again... If the creature is more magic than flesh and bone, I'm not sure how much I can promise. But I'm always happy to take a look and see what I can glean. A lot of my knowledge relies on things like organs and blood, which may not apply, but sometimes it's about learning to read behavior. That, at least, we can try.
